Dank der besonders filigranen Finnenstruktur wurde die Kühlfläche vergrößert und ein sehr guter Wasserdurchfluss ermöglicht. Die Düsenplatte mit überarbeitetem Zufluss verteilt das Wasser zudem perfekt auf den Kühlfinnen. So wird die enorme Abwärme der neuen Grafikkartengeneration mit dem Kühler exzellent abgeleitet. Die vollflächige Verchromung des Kupferbodens bietet nicht nur beständigen Schutz gegen Säuren, Kratzer und Schäden, sondern erreicht eine schöne Homogenität und einen besonderen Glanz.
Neben den technischen Verbesserungen hat der Eisblock ein Facelift erhalten: Das Aurora Design ist optisch ruhig und schlicht gehalten, da nur ein O-Ring den gesamten Kühler umläuft. Außerdem sorgt die Konstruktion der Kühlfinnen und der Jetplate für eine klare Optik. Die Beleuchtung mittels digital adressierbaren RGB-LEDs breitet sich dank der Verchromung ausgesprochen gleichmäßig im Kühler aus.
